The Australian Workers Heritage Centre is the only national attraction dedicated to celebrating the lives and proud heritage of ordinary working people – telling the stories of the railway workers and blacksmiths, the farmers, nurses and teachers who shaped the nation.

Our exhibitions honour the work of a broad range of Australians, and include Australia’s working women, teachers, power workers, railway workers and many others. Don’t miss the moving documentary “Unsung Heroes”, which set the scene for Stage One of the working women project.

The Australian Workers Heritage Centre presents a rich tapestry of exhibits, photographs, audio-visual presentations and experiences - telling the stories of Australia's working people.
