Alice Springs Reptile Centre houses the largest reptile display in Central Australia. We have an extensive range of reptiles including a Perentie Goanna, Merton’s Water Monitors, Thorny Devils, Bearded Dragons, Blue Tongues and many other fascinating lizards, LARGE and small Pythons and some of the world’s most venomous snakes such as Inland Taipans, Brown Snakes, Death Adders and Mulga (King Brown) Snakes.

Come and visit Terry the saltwater crocodile. Terry's exhibit offers fantastic views from both above and below the water, providing amazing photo opportunities.

Check out the Gecko Cave. Lots of little characters to learn about.

The Reptile Centre is open from 9:30am to 5pm daily, however we recommend that if you are visiting during the winter months (from May to August) then the best viewing time is between 11am and 3pm when the reptiles are most active.

Public talks are conducted at 11am, 1pm and 3.30pm daily.  Private group bookings by prior arrangement.

Alice Springs Reptile Centre is located opposite the Royal Flying Doctors (RFDS) at the base of Billy Goat Hill, a famous local landmark. Accommodation and the town centre is only a few minutes walk away.

Admission fee applies. School and Coach groups welcome, enquire for rates.
